End-of-Life Doula & Transitional Support

A steady presence at life’s final threshold

There are moments in life that ask everything of us.

The threshold of dying is one of them.

It can be tender, overwhelming, sacred, confusing, and deeply human—all at once.

You do not have to walk through this alone.

A Grounded, Compassionate Presence

I offer spiritual and emotional support for individuals and families navigating the end of life.

This work is not about fixing or rushing what is unfolding.

It is about creating a space where:

  • dignity is honored

  • fear can be spoken

  • grief is welcomed

  • and meaning can emerge

Together, we move at the pace of the heart.

Who This Is For

This work supports:

  • Individuals facing serious illness or approaching end of life

  • Family members and loved ones navigating anticipatory grief

  • Those sitting bedside who need support holding what arises

  • People seeking spiritual care, reflection, or meaning-making at the end of life

  • Families preparing for or integrating a recent death

Whether you are early in the process or at the bedside, you are welcome here.

How This Work Unfolds

Every situation is unique.

We begin by listening—to what is needed, what is present, and what is most important to you.

Support may include:

  • Bedside presence and companionship

  • Emotional and spiritual support

  • Holding space for difficult conversations

  • Guidance for family members and caregivers

  • Ritual, prayer, or ceremony (if desired)

  • Creating moments of meaning, connection, or closure

There is no agenda to impose.

Only a commitment to meet what is here with care and steadiness.

The Nature of This Work

This work is grounded in contemplative spiritual care and shaped by experience in hospice chaplaincy.

I meet each person as they are—honoring their beliefs, their story, and their way of making meaning.

There is space for:

  • silence

  • conversation

  • emotion

  • uncertainty

Nothing needs to be performed or resolved.

This is a space where the fullness of the human experience can be held.

What to Expect

  • A calm, steady, and compassionate presence

  • Respect for your values, beliefs, and identity

  • Support for both individuals and families

  • Space for grief, fear, love, and reflection

  • Optional integration of ritual or spiritual practice

Sessions may take place in person in the Portland / Salem area or virtually when appropriate.

A Gentle Beginning

If you or someone you love is approaching the end of life, you do not have to navigate it alone.

You don’t need to have the right words.

You only need a willingness to be met where you are.
